We’re excited to bring you the latest updates from foundingGIDE.

Registrations are still open for the foundingGIDE Community Event 2025, taking place in Brisbane, Australia (HYBRID) on October 17–18. Join us for 1.5 days of collaboration and engagement with the global imaging data community.

The foundingGIDE Community Event is positioned between two major data-centric conferences and offers a unique opportunity for professionals engaged in research data management, imaging, and digital infrastructure to connect with the global data research community. FoundingGIDE Community Event (October 17-18) is following International Data Week 2025 (October 13–16) and preceding eResearch Australasia 2025 (October 20–24) all at the same location, Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre, Australia.

Following these three events, the GloBIAS Bioimage Analysis Conference will take place in Kobe, Japan (October 26-31). More details below.

We’re excited to share that the project's first technical deliverables are now published on Zenodo and freely accessible to the community. These reports provide key insights into the work we’re doing to support the sharing of image data.

This year’s theme of Imaging Data Ecosystem: Towards Shared Solutions highlights foundingGIDE’s commitment to building a collaborative, interoperable ecosystem that enables the seamless sharing, integration, and reuse of biological and preclinical imaging data across disciplines, platforms, and borders.

6-10 October 2025

Join the Global BioImaging’s Exchange of Experience Conference 2025, hosted by BioImaging North America and Canada BioImaging! The event will focus on sustaining imaging infrastructures, networks, and facilities, while also setting the stage for the BINA Community Congress.

International Data Week
13-16 October 2025

IDW takes place every two years and is the leading international conference on research data. It is jointly organised by the International Science Council’s Committee on Data (CODATA) and World Data System (WDS), and the Research Data Alliance (RDA).

GloBIAS Bioimage Analysis Conference
24-31 October 2025

The GloBIAS Bioimage Analysis Conference will take place in 24-31 October in Kobe, Japan. The conference combines multiple elements to address different facets of bioimage analysis advancement. During the initial days, participants engage in parallel sessions that serve distinct but complementary purposes: training school, hackathon and taggathon. As the conference progresses to its second half, the focus shifts to a symposium designed for broader knowledge dissemination.
