foundingGIDE Community Meeting 2025

foundingGIDE aims to establish the basis of a coordinated Global Image Data Ecosystem (GIDE) and together with the global imaging community develop common recommendations for ontologies and metadata. Bringing together researchers, infrastructure providers, and policymakers, the event in Brisbane addresses key challenges in interoperability and standardization of biological and preclinical imaging data.

The event will feature dynamic discussions and networking opportunities, designed to address critical challenges in biological and preclinical imaging data interoperability.

The foundingGIDE Community Event 2024, held in Okazaki, Japan is the first event in a series of three global community events planned during the lifespan of the project. Hosted online and in-person, the 2024 event brought together a diverse range of stakeholders from around the world to tackle the pressing challenges of imaging interoperability. Here, speakers emphasized the importance of standardizing file formats and developing robust ontologies to make imaging data more accessible and reusable. The Brisbane foundingGIDE Community Event will build on the past event success and continue the mission of enhancing imaging data interoperability.

Call for abstracts

We invite researchers, developers, and practitioners working with imaging data to submit an abstract during the foundingGIDE Community Event. This is a great opportunity to showcase your work, share challenges, and connect with others advancing data interoperability in imaging.
