foundingGIDE at OME Community Meeting 2026
From April 28 to 30, 2026, the 19th Open Microscopy Environment (OME) Community Meeting took place as a hybrid event in Dusseldorf, Germany. Co-organized by German BioImaging, the meeting brought together an international network of scientists, software developers, and data specialists to discuss the latest advancements in bioimaging data management and analysis.

The Open Microscopy Environment is an international open-source consortium that develops software and data standards to help the scientific community manage and share complex biological imaging data. By creating universally accessible file formats, such as OME-TIFF and OME-NGFF, and providing robust software tools, such as OMERO and Bio-Formats, the OME project plays a critical role in promoting open science, ensuring that imaging data remains interoperable, accessible, and reusable for researchers worldwide.
Several partners represented foundingGIDE at the event, driving conversations around global image data standardization. The partners shared updates on our latest initiatives and milestones through a series of presentations and a dedicated poster session.
