Global BioImaging Exchange of Experience IX

October 29 @ 09:00 October 31 @ 13:00

Join the #GBI_EoE2024 for practical insights into effectively managing image data, even if you’re new to data management. Global BioImaging (GBI) is dedicated to fostering engaging discussions around strategies to incentivize and optimize data-sharing practices. As an imaging scientist working in a core facility or enabling access to microscopes, the event will address common challenges and brainstorm solutions to support your work and foster global collaboration.

Throughout the event, these basics will be covered: acquisition, storage, and sharing. Learn what to keep in mind when acquiring image data, how to set up a basic storage system that can grow with your facility over time, and ensure your data is accessible and shareable, whether you’re working with colleagues down the hall or on the other side of the globe.

You can also register for the Advanced BioImaging Support (ABiS) an event that will delve into the national landscape in Japan: ABiS2024. Both ABiS2024 and EoE2024 will showcase real-world examples and present innovative imaging analysis or management tools, with the overall aim of drafting strategies towards mitigating challenges and improving solutions for broader access and inclusivity in both bioimaging and biomedical imaging. Towards the last day and into the FoundingGIDE event, the events will delve more deeply into the steps that image data scientists, supported by funders, decision-makers, and corporate partners, can take to advance towards a Global Image Data Ecosystem (GIDE).
